Hi I'm Chris Daniels

I grew up in a small farming town called Lake View in the State of South Carolina. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised between two small farming towns. I am the Ninth Genration to grow up in my home town. My hobbies and interests are working in the garden, family history, writing (I am an poet), building, fishing, and exploring nature. I am married to a wonderful wife name Kelli that also converted to the church a month after I did. I am attending college for Social Work. I have already completed a degree in Human Services - Applied Science and was an Ordained Minister within the Holiness faith prior to joing the Church of Jeses Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I first met the missionaries after requesting a copy of the Book of Mormon for my book collection. At the time I was praying to know which Church was the right/true church (Similar to the Prophet Jospeh Smith even though I never done research on him until the missionaries showed up at my door). I never knew that two young missionaries about my age would show up at my door a few weeks later. During that first visit my father and I asked them many questions and when they ask to come back and visit I said, "Ya'll are welcome back anytime down here." Needless to say they kept coming back week after week. I took the lessons from the Elders and challenged them with questions. I tried to disprove the Book of Mormon but was unable to. I soon found many of my fathers and mines beliefs in the Mormon Faith (three glories, proper way of baptism, and etc.) I soon found my way to the Church for the first time and after pertaken the Sacarment I found myself healed of several health issues. I was at the time on twelve medications and a week after that first service I was on only two. My sleeping disorder I had all my life was no more, my heart became fully healthy, and finally after two years I was able to be around a large crowd without sweating and having a panic attack. I was baptized two weeks later at my local Church. A month later I was able to baptize my wife into the Church. I gained a testimony of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints by His many blessings he put on my life and studing his Word. Today, I know that we have a Prophet on the Earth, that the true Church was restored through the Prophet Jospeh Smith Jr., and the Book of Mormon is True. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

My first calling in the Church was the Elders Quorum Secretary (An organization in the church that is set up to help those in and out of the church). Through this calling I am able to go out with the Elders Quorum Members to visit the members of the church, enter the names for hometeachers, and take notes in each meeting. I also go out with the missionaries on ocassion to visit with people (members and nonmembers). I try to help out at the church as much as possible. I also visit and witness to family members and friends.
