Hi I'm Emily

I love people. Smiling's my favorite. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Right now, I am attending BYU, studying human development and minoring in gerontology. I love this church and how all-inclusive it is to all men and women of the world.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon since I was born. I was baptized at the age of eight, and have gone to church almost every Sunday of my life. I did not, however, always KNOW for myself that this gospel was for me. It took time for me to really want to know for myself what I was living was true and that I myself believed in the church. Once I took the time to pray and ask for myself, I knew that I knew all along, I just needed to ask. I am still a Mormon because being a Mormon gives purpose to my life. I know who I am, where I came from, and what I am working towards each day, and without that, I wouldn't know what to do with myself. I love being Mormon and wouldn't stop for the world.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon to me isn't just something that happens on Sundays. It's an everyday lifestyle choice. I live my faith by the way I live my life. I strive to be the best I can be whether I am alone or when I am interacting with others. One of the greatest things I have learned from being an LDS member is that I am happier when I am helping others. When I think more about how I can help someone else' s life, instead of always thinking about myself, my life is enriched beyond belief. Christ was the best example of this, and I ultimately want to be just like Him. I have a long ways to go, but as I live my life in accordance to His, I'm getting there.
