Hi I'm Jayne

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Jayne. I grew up in Portland Oregon, and have spent the last 10 years in Orem Utah. I love the outdoors! I especially love hiking/backpacking, rock climbing, swimming, and biking. I absolutely love movies too. My family has always been the movie watching type, and we've basically seen them all! We are definitely a movie quoting family as well, which does in fact, bother many outside of our family (; I love my family more than anything in this world. I don't think God could have sent me to a more perfect family! We are all the best of friends and although we all have our differences, we try to overcome it, and we love each other all the same (: I have no idea where I would be without them. I owe them everything!

Why I am a Mormon

If I was asked this question a couple years ago, I would have said because my parents made me. But these last 2 years I have sincerely tried to find a testimony for myself and decide why I'm really a Mormon, and I can honestly say now, I'm a Mormon because I have found out for myself that this church is the true church. The gospel, and it's entirety, is completely true. There is a feeling about this church that you can't find anywhere else in the world. I have never been happier in my life than right now, after I have found the truth out for myself. I know for a fact that when I don't have the spirit with me, or when I don't have God in my life, I am lost, miserable, and lonely. Even now if I feel alone, I know I have God, and that he will always be there for me. In a world that is so materialistic and false, the gospel is the only true, steady thing in my life. It will always stay the same and have the same truth, forever. And that is why I have no other desire but to live the gospel the best I can for the rest of my life.

How I live my faith

I am the gospel doctrine teacher in my ward and this calling has truly been a blessing. It has helped me to become more involved in the ward and get to know the members better. I am a pretty social person, so this calling has been a wonderful experience for me. It can be hard to teach, and even prepare some of the lessons, but I do my best and God has always helped me pull it off (:
