Hi I'm April Starr Ouzir

I grew up in Arizona and love helping other, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi, I grew up In Mesa Arizona. I have been a member of the church since I was 9 years old. I've had my personal struggles in life but through my faith in Jesus Christ and our Loving Heavenly Father, I have been blessed with a stronger testimony and a wonderful husband who converted me through his conversion about a year and a half ago. I have finally achieved a degree as a Patient care Technician which allows me to do what I love best, taking care of those in need. I am so grateful for everything my Heavenly Father has blessed my family and I with and we are hoping to be blessed with children of our own very soon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints because I believe families should be together forever. I believe that this can happen only through being sealed in His Holy Temples. I was baptized when I was 9 years old. My family was preparing to be sealed in the Temple and I knew that I could not be with them if I was not baptized. So I studied and prayed and knew that this is what i wanted in my life. I served a Mission in Independence Missouri and loved the spirit that was there. I loved teaching the gospel to others and sharing the Joseph Smith story. Later in life I had a time when I felt like I was going through his same trials. I spent time on my knees praying, asking our Heavenly Father where I belonged. I'd been divorced and felt I'd lost everything. What made me come back to life and realize I was blessed, was my knowledge of the gospel and I shared it with everyone I knew. I soon met a man who I share the gospel with and taught him everything I knew. I didn't know that he started talking to the missionaries because of our talks. Soon he was baptized and grew strong in the church. He helped me to see the joy of the gospel being in your life. I started attending his ward with him and over time I fell in love. Now, he is preparing to enter the Holy Temple. And soon we will be sealed for time and all eternity. My heart is full knowing I will be able to be with this man forever and if we are blessed with children and we teach them and raise them in the gospel, they too will be with us and their own families. I can't think of a greater blessing then to be with those you love for eternity. I know the LDS church is true. I know it contains the fullness of the gospel of our Heavenly Father. I know it was restored to this earth through our prophet Joseph Smith. I know God has called Prophets today to continue guiding us in our lives and to be here to teach us. I know that because of our Savior Jesus Christ we can all return to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith by being an example to all those around me. I live my religion by avoiding temptations and avoiding even the appearance of evil. If I'm with others who are not of my faith, I don't preach to them, but I just do what I know is right and if they ask questions I do my best to explain why I live how I live. I also make sure to carry extra scriptures with me so that i can be sure to have one available to share. I am always aware of my dress, speech and actions and I try to be forever helpful and giving.
