Hi I'm Verity

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a full-time student studying biomedical science with hopes of becoming a dental hygienist. The garden my husband and I began is one of my greatest joys; I love biking, hiking, and camping, and I love absolutely anything cheesecake!

Why I am a Mormon

I've been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for my entire life. I grew up relying on the testimonies of my parents, but while in high school I truly discovered my own. I've read the Book of Mormon, which is a testament of the life of Christ, numerous times in my life, but each time something new sticks out that pertains to ME exactly. I know that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father, and I know that no matter what our struggles, we are never alone.

How I live my faith

I live my faith daily by reading the scriptures and praying with my husband. I live my faith weekly as I teach little children on Sundays about Christ's love for them. Being faithful is not just a Sunday/church habit. Faith is daily and grows with practice. Being a kind person to everyone in every situation is one way that I try to be faithful. Jesus Christ loved all he met, and I try to be kind to emulate Him.

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

Verity
Yes, yes, yes! This may be one of my favorite principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Families can be together forever through our Heavenly Father's Plan of Salvation. Not only will we have an opportunity to be with our spouses for eternity, we also can have our children forever. This principle has brought me such peace. I know that even the sting of death will be short compared to the eternity we will have with our eternal families. Show more Show less
