Hi I'm Elaine

I grew up in California. I love gardening, the beach, decorating, genealogy, being a grandma, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am married to a man who is not a member of the church, however, he attends with me on occasion. I have 3 kids, my husband has 2, and we have 3 grand kids! (Soooo much fun!!) We love to go to the beach and look at rocks and shells, visit family, and go out to eat!!! (too much) I love to have fun and laugh, and be silly with my friends. I play the violin and piano. I am the 4th of 7 adopted kids in my family and the ninth of ten children in my birth family. I am in the process of doing their genealogy and temple work. It is so exciting to find out where I come from, and how I can bring others to the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because without the gospel and the knowledge that it brings that we can live forever with our families for eternity, life would be very hard. I am so grateful that through the atonement of Jesus Christ, we can repent. Our sins can be washed away and we can be clean and whole again. Because of the atonement, even though we aren't perfect, if we do our very best and change our ways through repentance, Christ has made up the difference for us so we can live with him again. I am so very grateful for the atonement and the comfort the gospel brings to my life!

How I live my faith

I have been able to be a leader in the primary, (the youth) and the young women. I have also been able to use my Piano playing abilities I am a visiting teacher so that I can help other women in the gospel who need assistance, or a friend. I try to be a good example and help others, and love to explain the teachings of the gospel to others who are not familiar with our faith. I try never to judge others because I feel everyone has something they are struggling with. I love to go to the temple and feel the peace there. The gospel makes me feel like I am a part of an even bigger family.
