Hi I'm Carlie Stewart

The best part about life are the mountains we climb, the lessons we learn, and the happiness we receive from the gospel!

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. I have a younger sister, a half brother, and a half sister. In 1997, my family was able to be sealed in the Salt Lake City temple. Four years later my dad passed away from cancer. I was six years old. I've moved around quite a bit. In 2007, my mom got remarried and we moved to Idaho. Through out my life, I've found joy in singing, reading, writing, and playing the piano. I was a cheerleader throughout high school and I was an honor roll student as well. I love to meet new people and get to know others. I am outgoing and silly. I am serving a mission in California and absolutely loving it!

Why I am a Mormon

When I was six, my dad passed away after a long battle with colon cancer. I was young, but I remember a lot of the challenges my family faced from the battle and my dad's death. My mom became a single mother raising my younger sister and me. She had a house to sell, kids to get to school, and eventually she had to find a job to support us. She worked tirelessly to do what she could to make my sister's and my life so much easier. We moved in with my grandma, but we would move two more times after that. Thankfully, my mom was remarried a few years ago, and the joy and happiness she has is so great. I know that my dad's death was one of the biggest factors contributing to the strength I have gained. I've learned faith, patience, love, and hope from this trial and I know that through it all, my Savior was there with us. I have no doubt that my dad is now my guardian angel. I feel his love for me from the other side, and I truly know that he is doing well. I've stayed close to my Savior because I know that He is the way that I may see my daddy again when I leave this earth. My dad is my inspiration to do all that I can to follow the Savior and return to His kingdom. I've searched for the truth as well. The gospel has given me all the answers I needed. I know I can be with my family forever. I know that this church is true. I know it because I've read and prayed and I've acted on my faith and lived what I believe. I am a Mormon. I know it, I live it, I love it!

How I live my faith

I am a four year seminary graduate (meaning that during school, I would have released time to attend a class and learn about gospel principles for a period of time) and I work hard to maintain the knowledge I have and to increase my understanding and wisdom. I love listening to the Mormon Channel before I go to bed. I have read the Book of Mormon six times now and I know that it is true! I love attending my church meetings and partaking of the sacrament. Every day I live my life, I live my faith. It is a life style and a choice. Every day we are faced with trials and challenges that encourage us and give us the opportunity to become better and to rely more on our Savior. It has taken me a long time to get to where I am and it will take me a long time to continue to reach my divine potential, but I know that every day that I live what I believe, I am happier and I feel the Savior's love,
