Hi I'm Faith Williams

I'm a college student, I love the outdoors, I have a thirst for adventure, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a sophomore at Brigham Young University- Idaho, studying health psychology. In my free time I love to run. And by run, I mean jog. Slowly. But I do love it, and it gives me an opportunity to reflect on life and the gospel. I love to be outside exploring and finding new things- canoeing, kayaking, hiking, camping- I'm there! I love the solitude of the outdoors and being deep into nature... But I also LOVE the people! Everyone has a unique story, and I love learning from them!

Why I am a Mormon

There are so many reasons I could give for my faith: because I believe it's true, because it focuses on family, because it keeps me grounded, because it helps me learn... But I think really I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. I can't say I never frown or pout or shed a few tears, but I do love life. The gospel gives me a hunger for a fulfilling, kind, happy, meaningful life. It teaches me to serve others, to be involved, to form my own opinions, and to make a difference, and I love that! I'm a Mormon because I'm not perfect, but because of the gospel, I know I have a Savior who loves me perfectly. He is always there when I need Him, and I draw strength from His sacrifice, and that fuels everything I do. :)

How I live my faith

How do I live live my faith...? One step at a time, one day at a time, one choice at a time. Sometimes I mess up, and that looks more like I live it two steps forward, and one step back at a time. I think the most important part of living the gospel in my life is that I never give up. I study the scriptures daily, and I pray to my Heavenly Father for guidance and strength, because He knows so much better than I do. I rely on my Savior to give me grace, and I reach out for His mercy every day. Little by little, living it becomes more a part of who I am. It makes me happy, and so I just live the happy life!

How can faith in Jesus Christ influence us in our marriages and family relationships? in our friendships?

Faith Williams
Jesus Christ is the source to which we look for guidance, for love, for remision of sins, for hope, for patience, for strength. When we invite Him into our lives and allow Him to guide our relationships with others, our love for them, and for Him increases. We will treat them more as our Savior would and that can only better our relationship with any person. Jesus Christ knows each of us personally, and when we are filled with His love, our love for others grows as well. Show more Show less

What are Mormon women like? Do Mormons believe in equality of men and women?

Faith Williams
As a young mormon woman, i have never felt inferior to men in this church. if anything, i have felt extremely important. We are taught that the rold of womanhood is sacred and divine, and that God loves is daughters. he loves us so much that he allowed us to bear children, his own precious children. I can think of no higgher blessing or honor. one of our church leaders, when asked what we do for the women of the chuch replied, " I'll tell you what we do. We get out of their way and look with wonder at what they're accomplishing." Show more Show less
