Hi I'm Bond

I love science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. I love to build robots and serve others. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a roboticist that loves to play tennis, volleyball, and bowling. I enjoy spending time playing games with my parents, brother, and sisters. I have been called to serve a mission in Bangkok, Thailand, for two years. I am an Eagle Scout and I used the skills I learned from the scouting program to lead my high school robotics team to the World Championship.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that The Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ. I have felt the healing power of the Atonement in my life and I have been transformed through it. I know that God loves me and all of his children. Being a member of the church has blessed me with peace, knowledge, and happiness.

How I live my faith

I constantly share the gospel with others in my community through love, friendship, and service. I love helping the ladies I home teach with yard work and home maintenance. I love my ward and I love going to church meetings. I am going to preach the gospel in Bangkok, Thailand, as a missionary.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

Bond
A person must be worthy to enter into a Mormon temple. Temples are houses of the Lord and the Lord will not be somewhere that is unclean. Worthiness interviews and temple recommends keep the temples clean for the Lord. The work in the temples is not secret, but sacred. The ordinances performed in temples are special to God and His people, so by only allowing worthy people to enter the temple and participate, we maintain the sacred nature of these ordinances. The main work that goes on in the temples is the performance of saving ordinances, or acts that are necessary for exaltation, for the living and for the deceased. Many members of the church perform these ordinances by proxy for their own ancestors, allowing those ancestors to return to live with Heavenly Father. Show more Show less
