Hi I'm Sydney Youd

I grew up in North Carolina. I am a runner, a singer, and a strong Patriot. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in my freshman year at Brigham Young University and am majoring in history teaching to become a high school history teacher. I worked as a lifeguard for the third summer this year. I miss having a lot of free time to craft and am trying to get back into it, and still stay on top of my studies. I'm excited to take religion classes at BYU and although I have been a member my whole life I love learning more.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church and have built my own testimony through church activities. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the true church on the Earth and that Joseph Smith did see the Father and the Son in the Sacred Grove. I know that Christ died for us and that through his Atonement we can be forgiven of our sins so as to return to live with God. I know that Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us no matter what we have done and wants us to return to live with him in heaven after we die.

How I live my faith

Every morning I go to Seminary and although it might be early, I enjoy starting my day with scripture study. We have studied the Doctrine and Covenants, Old Testament, and New Testament. Starting the day with the Spirit sets the tone for my day and puts me in a good mood. Every Sunday I go to church from 9-12 and often stay for choir. My calling, sort of new for youth is a Family History Consultant. People in the church can contact me and my companion and ask us questions about how to get started on family history and what websites they might use to work.
