Hi I'm Kira

I grew up in Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nevada and Wyoming and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I currently live in Fredericksburg, Virginia I am mother of two. I was married in 2010 to my husband we were sealed a year later for time and all eternity in the Billings Montana Temple. I am a second grade teacher here in Fredericksburg and I love it. I love the opportunity to learn and grow everyday with my students. My hero as a teacher is Jesus Christ he could teach a bunch of people all at once at all different levels and everyone who was there was able to get something out of it. I have been a Mormon my whole life, but not until that last 5 years of my life did I really know what that meant. I know that my Heavenly Father is there and knows what I am going through, I know that the Holy Ghost is there to comfort me when times are hard, and I know that Christ went through an immense amount of pain for me so I can see my Heavenly Father again and so that my family can be a forever family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because every time I go to church or pray to my Heavenly Father I get this warm feeling my heart letting me know that this is the right path. I am also a Mormon because I love my family and the thought that we could be separated after we die depresses me and doesn't make sense. I am a Mormon because all though following all the teachings and things I need to do are not easy I know it is the right thing to do. I believe that my Heavenly Father loves me and that he wants me to be happy and that is what being being Mormon is all about. Being Mormon makes me happy even when times are hard because it gives me perspective.

How I live my faith

I teach the three year olds in our church and I love it. They are quite the funny kids they have such a pure joy when it comes to everything. I wish that I looked at things as they did. Because I am teacher I am not able to tell people what I believe but instead be an example to my students each and every day by being honest, loving, and understanding to each and every student and parent.
