Hi I'm Brittany

Living with the fullness, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of 3, and the only Mormon. I'm the first in my family to convert. I grew nondenominational in North Georgia. I'm a Foreign Language Major: Spanish. I love bluegrass, board games, and driving.

Why I am a Mormon

I first met the missionaries at a member's house, my best friend's house. I always thought they were nice guys and loved the vibes I felt from them. They never tried to teach me, because they knew I wouldn't listen. One day, I was out and about leaving my friends apartment in the next city, I saw two elders walking, and I recognized one. So I stopped and offered to take them to lunch. At lunch we get into a deep discussion about different religions and how they came about. After a while the two Elders look at each other and say "Well, we just gave you your first lesson, and we didn't even plan it!" After this talk, I decided I needed to go back to church. I started to attend my friend Sara's Baptist church. I simply felt like I was going through the motions whenever I went there. I attended that church for about a month before I was invited by my best friend's mom to attend LDS. I grew up in a nondenominational church. Growing up, I was very strong in scripture, memorized a lot. I hadn't even read these verses in over 6 years when I attended LDS. During Sacrament the Holy Spirit flooded me, bringing all this scripture to mind, leading me to the truth. Never, in all the churches I have attended have I felt the Spirit so strong, within the people, the message, and myself. I went home that afternoon after Church and spent hours in my Bible, flipping through, looking for answers. I started taking the lessons with the Elders and reading the Book of Mormon. After questioning, praying, and reading I found my answer once again in the scriptures (The Bible and The Book of Mormon). I was baptized on January 21, 2012. I believe that this Church is true, the Prophet Thomas S. Monson is the living Prophet, and that Joseph Smith was also a Prophet of God.

How I live my faith

Right after I converted, I left for Orlando, FL for an internship with Walt Disney World. I met so many wonderful women in the Young Single Adult ward. Whenever I had a chance, I was teaching with the Sister Missionaries, and the Elders. Sharing the word through Love, and letting others know that they are loved, and are daughters and sons of God, and that they do have a purpose here.
