Hi I'm Luis A. Matos Morales

I live in Puerto Rico, I'm a father, a husband a homeschool teacher, a Copywriter and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hello, I live in Puerto Rico; I’m a father of 5 children 20, 16, 14, 8 and 7. I Love Laura. I love the country side, fishing, planting and farming. I’m recently attending a University for my MA in English and Creative Writing in nonfiction; I was in the USMC back in the late 80’s. I’m recently started my own business as a Copywriter and love my brothers and sisters of my faith.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come from a Catholic background, I was always thinking, “there must be something better” I researched just like our Prophet Joseph Smith all the churches back in the 90’s and found no satisfaction, until I found the LDS missionaries, I learned my purpose in this life and I was glad I found them. Later in my life I encountered some transgressions and I lost hope and got a little lost. It was not me, the Holy Ghost kept on directing my thoughts and finally I listen again. I was so glad I did, I’m very happy now, my children are happy and my new partner is happy and getting ready for baptism. I love my family and the new life I have with my Heavenly Father, my brother Jesus and the Holy Ghost. Amen.

How I live my faith

Every Wednesday I take my family to our missionary night to learn and mingle with our members. I go to the Sacrament on Sundays with the heart filled with joy and happiness. My children love the primary, and that makes me feel happy that they are learning about the plan of Salvation. I will be going to spread the gospel with the missionaries and teach others what they have been missing in their lives.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Luis A. Matos Morales
Most of our scriptural writings have come through apostles and prophets. Through apostles and prophets, God has given His children sacred writings called scriptures. The scriptures can help you know God, His love for you, and His teachings. To the Christian world the most well-known collection of scriptures is the Holy Bible. In addition to the Bible, Latter-day Saints accept the following books as scripture: The Book of Mormon: Another Testament of Jesus Christ, a record of God’s dealings with the inhabitants of ancient America (2000 BC – 400 AD). The Doctrine and Covenants, a collection of revelations and inspired declarations given for the establishment and regulation of the Church of Jesus Christ in the last days (1830 AD – 1978 AD). The Pearl of Great Price, a selection of revelations, translations, and writings of Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
