Hi I'm LeAnn

I am a Realtor, Piano & Voice Teacher. I am taking Harp Lessons & enjoy making doll sleeping bags on etsy.com & I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of 4 children. I had 3 sons & 1 daughter who are grown. I am now a grandmother of 5 grandchildren. I have been a Real Estate Agent for almost 15 years. My true love is music & I was a Vocal Performance Major. I have 20 piano & voice students. Right now I am taking Harp Lessons and hope to teach it someday. I have enjoyed singing in the Tabernacle in Salt Lake City & singing in Gilbert & Sullivan & acting as a fairy in "Iolanthe" and a peasant in "The Yeoman of the Guard. I have also done some acting in local theatres of Houston. I have played rolls such as a cowgirl, Snow White & The Evil Wicked Witch of the West from the Wizard of Oz. I enjoy live theatre such as Les Mis, Phantom & Wicked. My other hobby is sewing where I make The American Girl Doll Sleeping Bags, children ruffled & Monster Leg Warmers. I enjoy reading. My last favorite book I read was called "Unbroken" by Laura Hillenbrand. I understand it will soon be made into a movie. My next goal is to learn to Oil Paint and to play the harp better. In the summer I really enjoy swimming & traveling. I have been to Alaska, England & recently sang in Italy with a choir at St. Francis Basilica & at the Vatican. I hope to travel to more Countries. For now I check out CDs at the Library & just watch them on PBS. I love movies & the BYU Channel. My favorite movies are What About Bob, Super Star & Sea Biscuit. If you bought a home from me I would sing a song for you at your closing.

Why I am a Mormon

.I am a Mormon because my Great Grandfather George Reynolds joined the church in Liverpool England in the 1850's. His father was a Tailor. When George was only 7 years old he overheard the Tailors talking about a man in American who had seen an Angel who had Golden Plates. For a 7 year old this sounded like an Indiana Jones Movie. A few years later when he was 9 years old his grandmother's maid invited him to a LDS church service where again he heard about this Joseph Smith and the Angel Moroni. Coming home from church that day he announced he was going to be baptized. His Anglo Saxon parents said, No Way. In those days you had to have your parents’ permission to be baptized before the age 18. So what did George do? He attended in secret from his parents a different branch of the church and was baptized at age 14. At age 19, Brigham Young called him on a Mormon Mission and at age 23 he was called to be an Immigration Clerk. Later he made his exodus to Salt Lake City, Utah where I was born. I have another Great Grandpa named John Scott who was one of Joseph Smith's body guards. It turns out that Joseph Smith was murdered by an angry Mob and my grandfather John Scott along with other body guards to bring back the body of Joseph Smith to prepare for his burial in Nauvoo, Illinois. I am so thankful that my Grandfathers both joined the church. I know that Joseph Smith was a Prophet just like Moses and Jeremiah. He saw an angel who lived in 600 BC. These ancient writers pass on the Golden Plates to a King or Righteous person written in reformed Egyptian for our day and was translated in 1820's by Joseph Smith. I know that I am fortunate to be born into this Sacred Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know Jesus in the Christ, The Son of God who died for my sins. I am thankful for the Atonement and that someday I will live with Heavenly Father and Jesus in his Kingdom

How I live my faith

Each day I get up I am so thankful to have a wonderful husband to share my life with. I pray in the morning and my husband and I pray everynight. I want to be with him eternally. I enjoy serving in my church as the Ward Music Chairman. I lead the hymns in Sacrament meeting. I also am to organize musical numbers to be performed at Sacrament Meeting such as the Ward Choir, duets, Vocal singing numbers, Soloist, piano solos, harp solos, small children group singing or teens singing. I also play the piano & help small children learn songs about Jesus, activities songs, seasonal songs and other appropate for their age. I am also a Visiting Teacher. I have a partner. We are to see 3 other women who we refer to as our sisters. We live the commandment to Love One Another not only to our Ward members, but to our neighbors in our neighborhood who may not be Mormons. We see these 3 sisters monthly & make sure that their needs such as bring in food when they have a baby or someone in their family is sick. We are to be their friend and help in their time of need as we all will suffer trials. Just recently I had a event that I called "The Mormon Tea, Cafferine Free. As you may know Mormons do not drink tea with caffeine in it. I invited lots of my friends who are not Mormons to parcipate by either singing, reciting a poem, a story, one friend played the violin another was my harp teacher. Anyway we ate lunch and had Mormon Peach Tea. The ladies asked me what this delicious tea was. I said, "it is a secret Mormon Recipe". Later I told them that is was Peach Crystal Light warmed up. We all laughed & had a very good time. Each lady said that they had so much fun that they hope I have my "Mormon Tea" again next year; and I will. Right now I have a son serving a Mission in Las Vegas for 2 years. My other 2 sons went to Tanzania, Africa, Hawaii/Christmas Island. I am grateful that my sons could go on missions & share the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ.
