Hi I'm Lizzie

I LOVE my family, music and traveling. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I was born in Mexico City but, throughout my life I've had the opportunity to move...a lot! For me, "Home is where the heart is" because I've lived in Mexico City, Poza Rica Veracruz, Utah, Monterrey Nuevo Leon, California...etc. Right now, home is in two places, Guadalajara and in the bay area of California where I am serving as a full time missionary in the Oakland/San Francisco mission. Once I get done with my mission, I'll go back to school to finish studying my bachelor's degree in a branch off of Linguistics, English Language.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My parents set that foundation of faith for me and my siblings. There was a point in my life where I wanted to know for myself if the things I was being taught were true. Through constant prayer, studying scriptures, and pondering about my own life experiences, I was able to confirm that the things I was taught were true. I love being a Mormon because it's true! It makes me happy and it has brought me closer to my Savior. I know that the authority to perform saving ordinances in this life is here on this earth. It was restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. We have a prophet that leads and guides us today, Thomas S. Monson and that knowledge has brought me a lot peace.

How I live my faith

Right now, the way I live my faith is by serving my mission. Every day we have the opportunity to study for 3 hours from the scriptures, (Bible, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants and The Pearl of Great Price). I love the scriptures! I have been able to learn so much from them. The scriptures come to life as we go out and share the message of the restored gospel with the people in our area. I've been able to see more and more the love that our Heavenly Father has for His Children throughout time and all over the world.
