Hi I'm Bryan

I love to dance. I love to sing. I love to draw and paint. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Throughout high school I loved singing and being in choir. I sang in my high school chamber choir for two years as well as in the Advanced Acapella Choir. I also loved acting and had the privilege of starring in several high school musicals, including “Guys and Dolls” and “The Phantom of the Opera.” I had the honor of a lead role in both musicals and absolutely loved it! I’m out of high school now, but delaying college to serve a full-time mission in the Michigan Lansing Mission.

Why I am a Mormon

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is my foundation. It brings me more happiness and comfort than anything else! My parents taught me gospel principles, which I examined for myself. I learned everyone makes mistakes; but gospel teachings kept me on the right path. The gospel kept me happy growing up—it still keeps me happy today! I secured a testimony of the truth for myself; I am so glad I know it is true! My testimony is precious to me and has helped me through hard times. I KNOW the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. I KNOW God lives; He loves me and you! He is there and will hear and answer your prayers. I KNOW that because they both love us so very much, God sent his son, Jesus Christ, who gave His life for you and me. Christ atoned for our sins and suffered more pain and sorrow than we can imagine so that He can comfort us in all of life’s experiences. I KNOW through the atonement we can be made clean; and, we can lean on Christ in all our trials and hardships. I KNOW Joseph Smith saw God and Jesus Christ, that he was called as a prophet to restore the fullness of the gospel. I KNOW he translated the Book of Mormon, an ancient record of scripture given to the people on this continent, so we can read it today. I KNOW the Book of Mormon is the word of God—there is power in the words inside it. Read it! Learn for yourself; God will reveal the truth to you, just as he did for me! I leave this, my testimony, with you in the sacred name of our Savior, Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

Like many young men growing up in the LDS Church, I participated in scouting and youth programs. I loved activities like camping, hiking, river rafting, dances, and service projects. The best part was getting to know and become friends with the people my neighborhood and community. I also served in leadership roles in several of my church youth groups. This was very rewarding and taught me responsibility and accountability. Most of all, it taught me how to love and serve others. For the last five years—since I was 14—I went with my father every month to visit several families in my church; it’s a program called Home Teaching. Now at age 19, I’m old enough to serve a mission for my church. Home Teaching helped prepare me to serve a mission—to share the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ with others. I have been preparing for a long time and I can't wait to go and be an example of my faith full-time for two whole years! As a missionary, I will teach others how the Savior restored His church and His priesthood authority. And, I will share with them the happiness it has brought me. All of my life I have lived the teachings and standards of my church and will continue to do so. This path has blessed me considerably!
