Hi I'm Amy

I am a mom to four kids and I am a wife. I love music, reading, and spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a busy mom to four kids, two sons and two daughters. I am a wife to an amazing man. I graduated from college, with a BS in dietetics. I love music, and I play the piano and the organ, and I enjoy singing also. I love to read. I like historical fiction, mysteries, and self-improvement literature. I enjoy swimming, riding bikes, and going on walks with my family. I also enjoy playing games with my family. I like cooking and trying out new recipes.

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born into a family that is Mormon. I have wonderful parents, who taught me both by example and by their testimonies, of the certainty of the Gospel. I read the Book of Mormon when I was a teenager. I prayed about it, and I received a confirmation that it is true. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings alot of joy to my life. Through prayer, I find perspective and knowledge that helps me in my decision-making in my life. In many hard times since then, my testimony of Jesus Christ has given me the peace and answers to get through them. Now, my greatest desire is to share my testimony with my children. To teach them that He is the way to be happy in this life and in the life to come. To love their Savior. I am so grateful for the teaching of eternal families, and I want all of my family to be together forever.

How I live my faith

I try to be a good friend. I try to live the commandments and be happy and help those around me. I also serve by playing the piano and organ in church meetings and for the choir. I love the music of the Gospel, and helping to bring the Spirit into the meetings through that music. I help organize the women in our ward when service is needed. When someone is sick, or moving, or has any other need for service from the women in our ward, I can help organize and get them taken care of. We bring in meals, help care for children, help clean houses or apartments, and fill other needs. I also visit some women in my ward. I am assigned to watch over and care for some specific sisters, to come and visit them in their homes. I love this opportunity to make new friends, and have this time to talk to them.
