Hi I'm Zach Ames

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Before my mission to Berlin I was a singer, actor, and rock climber. I come from a small family of four and love them all to death. My dad works for the state and my mother is a special needs assistant at a local junior high school. I love the German language and culutre. I love most colors except yellow and orage. My favorite candy has got to be either Reeses peanut butter cups or Skittles!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it is the true and restored gospel of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, here on the earth. Just as the truth was revealed to Adam, Noah, Abraham, and Moses we have it again. Restored through Joseph Smith. We have a prophet today, just like in ancient days, who speaks with God and provides direction and guidance for us to return to live with him. I'm a Mormon because by living as God would have me, makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving a mission to Berlin and loving every bit of it. I am worthy of the priesthood authority I have from God and I do my best to bless the lives of others like Christ does.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Zach Ames
We believe there is no other way back to our Father in heaven than through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We must become clean and take his name upon us,"For no unclean thing can enter into the presence of God." When one is baptised, as Christ was and by the proper authority, they can be cleansed from their sins. This does not mean that after baptism our eternal salvation has been sealed. We must continue to live a life similar to Christs. The immersion is symbolic of the life, death, and resurrection of Christ. The immersion is symbolic of the death of a persons sinful life. When we come back up we are clean and pure. Show more Show less
