Hi I'm Mike

I have been a Mormon since 1982. I love being with my family, painting, and playing guitar. I love the church

About Me

I joined the church in 1982 after a very special spiritual experience that led me to the missionaries. I am an everyday average guy who wants to live right. I enjoy art ( painting with oils) playing guitar, and family life. Lynn and I have been married for 23 years we have 4 kids. I have a beautiful daughter from a previous marriage named Laura who has a great husband, and two children .

Why I am a Mormon

There was a time when I gave up negative things and wanted to be a better man.I turned to the Lord and sought forgiveness through faith, as I was taught as a child. When I dedicated myself to this quest, I felt the strong desire to study scriptures daily, and keep myself clean. After a few weeks , I began to feel the presence of the Holy Ghost in abundance. I prayed for direction in joining a church ,it was then the Missionaries came to my door. I listened to the discussions and sincerely prayed about their message. The Holy Ghost bore testimony of the truthfulness of their massage, the restoration ,and the book of Mormon as another testimony of the Lord Jesus Christ. I immediately felt the desire to follow the Savior and his teachings. I shortly joined the church through baptism. Years latter ,I know that this was a great turning point in my life. I now live a productive Christian life that promotes unity with God, a deep appreciation for the plan of salvation, and an admiration of Jesus Christ and his atonement.

How I live my faith

I am sincere about staying close to the spirit, I believe you have to earn and work for that blessing. Reading the book of Mormon and the Bible helps me achieve this. I feel a strength in providing service in helping others through callings I have had at church . I know the Lord gives us callings to help us learn about relationships, gain empathy, and develop tolerance and understanding necessary to care for his children. This in turn sanctifies our carnal nature, making us more spiritual , thus becoming more Christ like in time.
