Hi I'm Thomas

I'm a mechanical engineering student and a devoted father. I built a cardboard house for my 2 year old daughter. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived in seven different states. I enjoy traveling and seeing new places. I love to play basketball and I love to read books. I am a college student with a young family. I have two kids and being a father is one of the best things in the world. There is nothing more enjoyable than to see my kids learn and play.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My parents have always been great examples for me, showing me how I want to live my life. When I follow God's commandments I find that I am a happier person. I know that I can be with my family eternally. That knowledge is a huge blessing and comfort to me. I gained a strong testimony of God's love for me when I was 14 years old. I was challenged by a teacher to pray to know for myself that the Book of Mormon is true and that Joseph Smith was a true prophet. I took that challenge, even though I felt I already had a testimony. Since I already had a testimony I didn't expect much of an answer, but I received a strong answer to my prayer. I was overwhelmed by the feeling of love that my Heavenly Father has for me. I don't ever want to disappoint my Heavenly Father, and I want everyone to be able to feel what I felt.

How I live my faith

I live in a small, but growing branch of the church. I am a member of the branch presidency. The presidency consists of a president and two counselors to assist in leading the branch. It is a big responsibility, but I am able to help and serve a lot of people. I visit with members on their homes to ensure that their spiritual and temporal needs are met. I have the opportunity to teach often and and share my testimony.
