Hi I'm Stephen

I love video games, I do origami, my family I love dearly, But most of all I love that I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm twenty years old and I live in CA. I am the guy who likes hugs, baby kittens, puppies. I have been called a "teddy bear" once or twice. I have a mother and a father, one older sister and one younger brother. My younger brother has down syndrome and he is definitely my best friend even if he gets pretty grouchy some days. I have gone to college for a little while before I became a missionary. I like to do origami and play Mine Craft, MTG, and an occasional game of D&D. I'm not afraid to try new things. I love learning anything about the world and the way things work. Oftentimes that kind of curiosity gets me into trouble, but nonetheless I rarely break things I cant fix. When I resume my studies I want to learn about living things and how they work. But now being a missionary is what is on my mind (except when I am holding a kitten)

Why I am a Mormon

The reason I am a Mormon is because of the great blessings that the gospel of Jesus Christ has provided for me and my family. I honestly cannot imagine where I would be if I were raised any different. I am so blessed to come from a home that is centered on Christ. Everywhere people have sadness and pain in their family, but because of the healing power of Christ and His church my family has been able to cope with problems both large and small and not let them come in between us. I know that with Christ all families can be happy and loving. Another reason I love the Gospel is because by living the principles it teaches and receiving your own answers to your own concerns, you can have all of your heartfelt questions answered. Their is no greater bother to me than to have an important question and not know where to find the answer. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints fosters questions and provides answers to anything we truly feel we need. With prayer and honest searching we can have the answers we need to find peace and strength in this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by sharing the gospel with others. I am serving as a missionary for my church for two years in the glorious states of Mississippi, Alabama, and Tenessee. I try to live my life as we have been commanded, by being an example of the believers. Thats not to say that the blessings that come with obedience are not a desire of mine. If no good came from doing something than nobody would do it. When it all comes down to it though it really breaks down to 'will I follow God or not?'. You can choose to follow and be happy, or to walk away and be captive. So I strive to live each day to be right in Gods eyes. And I do that by trying to be an example.

What is Mormonism? OR What do Mormons believe?

To put it into three sentences- -We know that Christ created a church when he was here -We know that when He and His Apostles were not on the Earth that the things He taught were changed and the Church as Christ made it was gone -We know that God and Jesus Christ brought back the Church through the Prophet Joseph Smith Show more Show less
