Hi I'm Hugo Bravo

I'm a Cali boy, Mexicano, love to smile, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

Hey y'all! I was born and raised in California in a city called Ontario (not Canada!). I'm 20 years old and my anniversary of earth existence is April 14. I love spending time with my mom, dad, older sister, older brother, sister-in-law, nephew and two nieces. To me, everyone is a family member, as we all are brothers and sisters :D I love playing basketball. I don't look athletic, but I enjoy trying new things and having fun! I also enjoy taking pictures since life is pretty short. Capturing memories and looking back at them is an awesome feel. I'm a graduate of Ontario High School (Class of 2013!). I participated in yearbook, drama club, key club, and many more. After graduating, I took three semesters at Mt. San Antonio College. After the third semester, I decided to serve the Lord and I'm currently serving in the Florida Orlando Mission. This is truly "The Promise Land"!

Why I am a Mormon

I was introduced to this church by my parents. Around 1999-2000, my parents opened their door to Mormon Missionaries. They listened and applied their messages and were baptized. I know their lives changed, for the better, since that day. Ever since their baptism, they always took me to church. I met people who would become my life-long friends. My dad baptized me when I grew a little bit. Years went on, and I continued attending church. I then came to a point where I wondered about my position in life. Why did I attend church every week? Is it because I wanted to or because my parents forced me? I decided to read the Book of Mormon for the first time. Throughout that first time reading, I felt really good. I learned new things and I enjoyed reading (and believe me, I don't like reading books!). I asked God if it's true and from my feelings, I felt a strong assurance that it is. That's what keeps me going.

How I live my faith

The way I live my faith is also my expression of love to God and Jesus Christ. I have daily scripture reading (especially the Book of Mormon), daily prayers, weekly church attendance, and serving others. I do my best to live my life by following the example of Jesus Christ.
