Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of 4 siblings, and i live in the south bay area of so.cali. I have been married for 5 years and a father of 1 girl. I enjoy playing basketball & volleyball. I also enjoy watching movies and consider myself a movie buff. I will also when time permits play xbox 360 games or ps3 games. My work schedule however ties me up at odd hours, but work is not what i live for, rather i do try make time with my family & friends. I also like long walks on the beach, and a nice dinner by the fire place. As you can see i have a sense of humor too! I also like all kinds of music, but not country music since i do not live in Utah.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has a special connection. As a native American Indian, I am a Lamanite descendant that The Book of Mormon explains we are related to the first Prophet mentioned in this book, his name was Lehi. Lehi was commanded to flee his home in Jerusalem to come on this side of the world in the American continent. One of Lehi's sons name was Laman, his descendants are known as The Lamanites. The people living on this side of the world were known by Christ as " the other sheep". The Book of Mormon tells the testimonies of the Prophets who descended from Lehi who testified of our Savior Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon is their testimony of Christ, I know that Jesus Christ lives. He is the Savior of all mankind , his mission fulfilled to pay the debt to help us to over come sin and death. Through him I know that families can be together forever, that loved ones need not to be afraid of death. I know that as in Christ's time , Prophets today still exist. We have a modern day Prophet with 12 Apostles who have been called by God, his priesthood authority has been restored and modern day revelation still happens. With the gospel centered on Christ with its teachings and values I know my family can truly be happy. I know that prayers can be answered, questions are no longer a stumbling block that leaves one in a stupor of doubt, we can know the truth to all things, if we ask with a sincere heart. I invite you after reading this to ponder your thoughts, and sincerely ask your Heavenly Father through prayer if this message is true.

How I live my faith

As how I live my religion, I have served a 2 year mission in the Dominican Republic, Santiago Mission. I also have fulfilled my callings as a home teacher to various families, each month I visit them outside of our 3 hour block meetings to share the messages that our modern day Prophet and his councilors want us to hear that is published in our magazine called " The Ensign". I also at times will instruct classes that are meant for the men to participate in. I do this to better understand my Savior, and walk the paths he has walked as a servant to all he came in contact with. I try to remain worthy of the priesthood authority i hold as an elder in the church i can give blessings to my family when they are sick or otherwise afflicted. And i know with this authority , i have seen them become revived in ways that no doctor can heal. I have been in the past in a leadership position where I handled membership records, finances, and reports that have benefited members of the congregation that i have been a member of and have seen the blessings that brought them and unto me.
