Hi I'm Jenn Nydegger

I am a stay at home mother of four, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a mother of four small children ranging from 2 to 9. I stay at home but have a salon in my basement where I do hair only a few hours a week. I run, bike, swim, do yoga and lift weights. I usually spend an hour in the morning and sometimes another hour in the evening working out. This is my thing, my time to do what I want and try to be healthy. I love it, I love pushing myself physically and mentally and seeing just how strong I can be. I love to spend time with my kids, especially outside. We play in the yard, go swimming, ride bikes and play sports. I also like to read, scrapbook and work on other crafty projects. One of my favorite things to do by far is sit on my porch watching my kids play while visiting with a neighbor, or if I'm really lucky with my husband.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to this religion. I grew up in Utah where it feels like everyone is mormon. I grew up going to church sometimes with friends but not understanding anything about it, or what they were even talking about. I remember one time someone asked if I was going to a stake dance and I was so confused! I thought what do they serve steak at the dance? I finally started really taking interest into this religion that all my friends were a part of and wondering why and is that what made them seem so different from any of my other friends? I took the missionary discussions when I was 15 and was baptized a few months later. My parents and brother are not members but they are pretty supportive of me, my parents even came to my wedding and waited outside on the Temple grounds where I was married. I am so happy I found this gospel it has really helped me out so much in my life, helped me stay grounded and have hope for the future. I love how this gospel helps me in raising my children, teaching them values and helping them find friends who will help them make good choices.

How I live my faith

I have had many calling in the church including working with young children, working with young women and working with the older women of the ward. Currently I am in the leadership of the women 18 years and older in my ward (neighborhood). I love visiting teaching, I learn so much visiting with the other women in the neighborhood. especially the older ones who have lived most of their lives and have so much to teach me. Even living in Utah I still have missionary opportunities often. whether its greeting a neighbor from another faith, or helping someone come back to church after being away for a long time. I feel so blessed to have this church, the true church in my life it has blessed me so much.
