Hi I'm Ellen Taylor

I love being a Mom, I teach Piano, & I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a wife, mother, grandmother, piano teacher. book keeper and volunteer. I have a wonderful husband who I adore and together we have 5 amazing children (2 of which are married to wonderful spouses that we have welcomed into our family) and so far, one adorable Granddaughter. I have taught piano for 34 years now and find great joy in sharing my love for music. After putting my husband through Dental school, I have had the great blessing of being a stay at home mom. I have never regretted this choice, as it has been a blessing to our family. Besides my husband, children, and music being the joy of my life, I also have the opportunity to volunteer weekly at a school to help those who were born with Down Syndrome. My goals are to learn to speak Spanish, play the Violin and finish Scrapbooking the thousands of pictures waiting to be put into books. I have more things on my "Want to do list" than I will ever have time to do, but I just keep doing my best. Our family Moto is: GOOD, BETTER, BEST, do not let me REST, until my GOOD is BETTER and my BETTER is BEST!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because through a life time of study and prayer, I have gained a personal testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This has come line upon line, precept upon precept for me. My life has been blessed in so many ways because of the gospel teachings, it provides answers to so many questions that I have and I have seen what the gospel does for individuals and families. The gospel is my strength and my anchor and I have found complete peace and fulfillment in living it. I love being a "mormon"!!!

How I live my faith

I had a thought the other day as I was doing a google search for something and the thought was this: If I could be a google search, I would want my name and picture to be the first thing people saw when they searched the word - CHARITY. Charity is the pure love of Christ. I have always tried to live my life as my Savior Jesus Christ taught, it is what brings me the greatest peace and joy. I have had the opportunity to serve in many wonderful church callings as well as serve in my community. I have worked with the Young Women, the primary age children and the Women in our church. Serving them as well as being served by them. Because of my love for music and the talent my Heavenly Father has blessed me with, I have had many many opportunities to serve others as well as to share my testimony through music. I have accompanied thousands of musical numbers, been the pianist for primary, and have played the organ in our Sacrament meetings for many years as well. I am currently our ward organist, ward choir pianist and a primary teacher. In whatever calling I have been asked to do, I always try to give it my all and do my very best. My husband and I have the opportuntiy to travel to Central America every 6 months and provide Dental and Medical help to many that cannot affort it. As we go and work many many long hours serving these young people that are trying to live a better life, we always come away the ones that are blessed. I believe that as we serve others, we learn to love them and that is what our Savior taught us so many times through his great example.
