Hi I'm Jarem

Come from a family of 11. Live by the beach. Love science. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

The oldest son of a family of 11. Grew up in Perth Western Australia, spending a lot of time out doors with family and friends. Love the sun! I'm currently enrolled in a bachelor of science at the university of Sydney. Finished one year, two to go. Science is my thing! I like variety, and so it's no surprise that my activities are found in all facets of life. I like music, and play a little guitar and piano. Had a band with my family, performing at weddings and dances. Sports is also a must. Generally running and martial arts are the things that keep me going. Although sometimes i can't resist a ride on the jet ski - skipping over the ocean waves just makes you forget about all the worries of life. Currently, I'm serving a mission in Japan.

Why I am a Mormon

I guess I'm Mormon because i was born Mormon. However, i continue to stay an active member of my church because I know that it's message has the power to bless lives. As a child, i was raised with an understanding of God, who He is, and what personal relationship I have with Him. I understood who I was, and what potential i had as one of His children. This brought me an inner confidence that those around me could sense. I knew that no matter what life's challenges would throw at me, I could conquer them with His help. As part of these teachings, I also learned some of the answers to the great questions of life. What is my purpose? Why am I here? How can I be happy? I understood where i was and where I needed to go. This has made all the difference in my life. I don't need to live in fear or doubt. I know that if i continue on the path I am traveling, there will be no disappointments or regrets, only happiness. At school and university I see so many of my peers and friends lacking that knowledge. Many of them are confused about life and how to succeed. I can't imagine how hard it must be to go through life without direction, without a path. It's like a story where you never know what the ending is supposed to be. I guess, simply to say, this message has made me happier. I look forward to life with hope and optimism. I know things will all turn out ok. I have a personal testimony that all those that study and act upon this message in their life can receive the same peace and joy that I have. It is free, and it is offered to everyone. The only thing that can stop you from receiving the same benefits is you.

How I live my faith

How I live my faith is demonstrated in the way I live every day. It is seen in the way I treat people and in the activities i participate in with my friends. I have as my goal to emulate the life of my Saviour Jesus Christ. As such, I endeavor to follow His teachings by keeping His commandments. The first of which is to love. I love giving service and helping those in need. I hope those around me can always feel my concern and love for them. Every week, on Sunday, I rest from my usual weekday activities and go to church. There I meet other youth of my own age, and learn together more about Jesus Christ and His role in our lives. It is a day of reflection and a chance to set goals for my life. I love church. Through a knowledge of the teachings of Christ, I know what standards will bring me happiness. Clean language, dress and appearance are important to me. They show what's on the inside. I strive to one day marry a girl who is also morally clean and together start a family.
