Hi I'm Cierra

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in a very small town. My dream job is to be a English teacher. I am working on my degree now.

About Me

I am currently a college student looking to be an English teacher. When people ask me why, I tell them that English gives place to inspire. English is such an important part of our everyday living, it is super important that we know how to use our English properly. Having a love for English, its not surprising that I love to write. I am currently working on a fantasy novel. I love the outdoors; going on hikes, camping with the bugs and gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I really like this question, Why am I a Mormon. I have an answer. Growing up, going through the awful years of middle school, I needed somewhere to turn. I felt empty inside, like something was missing from my life. It sounds cliche, but it was like half of me was missing. In my Freshman year of high school, my oldest brother passed away. I needed answers and I found them in the church that I was raised in. I went back to church. After attending awhile I felt like that was the place I needed to be and I took the next step; I began to pray. When I came to really know our Heavenly Father the piece of me that I felt was missing was suddenly filled. The knowledge of my pre-existence and the gift of the Holy Ghost was my other half.

How I live my faith

Reading my scriptures is a primary answer to how I live my faith. The scriptures are full of answers, encouragement and a knowledge of things that are now and things that are to be. Reading my scriptures faithfully helps me keep on track of the things I know I am supposed to be doing. I also attend the temple as part of my visiting teaching. It is a two hour drive, a perfect opportunity to get to know my companion and figure out what I can do to help. In church, I am called to be a teacher in our women's organization. When we are called to a position in the church, it is a calling specifically from our Heavenly Father. The women always tell me how much they learn, but I do most of the learning. Being a teacher has been the best blessing the Lord could have ever granted me.

Do you really believe there is a prophet like Moses alive today?

God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Our Heavenly Father has an infinite love for all of His sons and daughters that have come to this Earth. If He provided help and strength to His children of old, He will continue to provide the same support and guidance today. Show more Show less
