Hi I'm Alexa Leishman

I am happily married. I love my husband, and our little one on the way! I love my family, I love life. And, I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah, to the best mother and father in the world. I have one brother and one sister. I am the middle child. I absolutely love my family, and cannot even imagine life without them. We love to do a lot of things together. We camp, we play games, we eat, we eat a little more, and did I mention that we eat?! I work at the local America first. I love my job. I work as a teller/loan originator. I have the sweetest husband, whom I love, and am so excited to get to start eternity with him. We have a sweet little baby on the way and cannot wait to meet him or her. I love spending time with my family. I love food, especially italian, and the shredded beef salad from cafe rio, with extra ranch please. I love to read, when I have time. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member of the church from the time I was a small child. My parents were brought up in the gospel, and so was I. As a child I didn't know any different. But as I have gotten older, and have had the "agency" to make my own choices, I chose to stick with my faith. I am a mormon because I want to be. I love this gospel. I know it to be true with all my heart. The book of mormon is true, and I have had that testified to me on multiple occasions. Being a mormon I have the opportunity to be married to my sweetheart for TIME AND ALL ETERNITY. That also includes our children that we will have. I cannot imagine the thought of being without my family. I also have the opportunity (as well as you) to be able to partake of the atonement. I know with all my heart that the savior has walked the grounds of this earth, and he did come here, and he did die for me (and you) to allow us a chance at making it back to our father in heaven, it is through the atonement that we can be saved from our many faults. How grateful I am for such a loving older brother. I love being a mormon because we have latter day revelation. We believe that we have a prophet on the earth today who speaks and communes with God for us in our day. Why would I not want to be apart of that? How cool is it to know that our Father in heaven loves us enough to teach us though modern day revelation in these final days.

How I live my faith

I currently am a Sunday school teacher for gospel principles class. The "basics" of our gospel. I serve as a ward missionary with my husband, in helping those that are less active (and even more active) learn of the principles of the gospel. I am probably the quietest, most soft spoken person you would ever meet, and this calling scared me half to death when we were asked if we would be willing. I have grown to love my calling, and have learned that I learn more from the class then I think they sometimes learn from me. And in the principles of the gospel, that's where everything is centered from. I have learned so much, and am so grateful for the opportunity that I have to teach the class with my sweet husband.
