Hi I'm Sterling

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in Scottsdale, Arizona. I am from a family of 10 Children and Father of 5.

About Me

I enjoy participating in and watching athletic events. I enjoy music and currently sing Tenor in EVMCO. I earned a Degree in Finance and an MBA. I am an Eagle Scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I became a Mormon at age 8. My ancestors have been members of the church since its early days. I felt it was the right choice for me to make at the time and have been blessed ever since. During my life I have had to come to a knowledge for myself and I currently am continuing to increase that knowledge. The Joseph Smith story made the biggest impression on my when I was younger. Knowing that we have a Heavenly Father that loves us and is concerned for our welfare is comforting and helps me to keep the commandments, so that one day we can return to be with him again.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by accepting the callings I have been asked to serve in, attending meetings and activities, and spending time with my family. I have enjoyed working with the youth especially. I enjoy reading the scriptures.

What is the Mormon lifestyle like? How do Mormons live?

Sterling
One of the greatest reasons for being here on earth is to "have joy" (2 Nephi 2:25). Personal prayer, scripture study, and attending church helps us better understand that the best way to find joy and happiness in this life is to know about Our Heavenly Father's plan of happiness, the gospel of Jesus Christ, and to strive to keep God's "law" (Proverbs 29:18). Families are an essential part of God's Plan and much of how we live focuses on our families. We want to share the happiness we enjoy with everyone we can through service, missionary work, and contributing to society. Show more Show less
