Hi I'm Paul

I grew up in Michigan and Maryland. Worked with Geographic Information Systems for the last 13 years, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hobbies and interests I currently have include volunteering with church and in the community, reading, cooking, yard work/landscaping, jogging; home and auto fix it jobs, construction projects, swimming, movie watching, as well as being out in nature. Working with and creating efficient computer systems and programs is what I do during the day. Afterward I return home to interact with a loving family as a father and husband in our home. Though computers fulfill an important dream I have had with respect to my career and's enjoyable, having a family is my true source of happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace I feel with the knowledge that I have of a living, loving Heavenly Father. He has taught me that we can be redeemed by the grace of our Savior Jesus Christ, if we repent and live a good life through service to Him. I and anyone can be clean and our hearts can be changed through humility and a broken heart and contrite spirit. I know this can be done because living Prophets teach us this in our day, just as they did in the days of the Old and New Testament from the Bible. Why, because God loves us so much they he will not leave us comfortless or alone as we seek Him further and desire to have greater peace and happiness. His teachings are taught through his servants the prophets. This is as true today as in days of the Bible. God talks to prophets. Today's prophets have restored priesthood keys given to them similar to those given by Jehovah to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. I know this to be true. We have a prophet today who is Thomas S. Monson. He is the Lords Authorized servant for our time. I can hear, see, or read his words through talks, revelations, and sermons given through the influence of the Holy Ghost. His words and others can also be read, watched, or listened to on the internet. This Spirit of the Holy Ghost is the same one that gives us the joy we feel when we are in the presence of loving family, and friends. This spirit can testify that these servants are His servants. I encourage you to learn more for yourself if these things are true, and as you learn with an open heart and mind, you too can have a sense of peace testifying to you that it is true as well. Pray to God by addressing Him as our Father, thanking Him for his many mercies, acknowledging Him as a higher power and asking if the things that I have shared today are true in Christ name. As you do this the peace coming from the Holy Ghost (aka; Holy Spirit) with be in your heart. This will give you a sense of peace and you will be sure that it is true.

How I live my faith

As I have learned the things discussed above about the nature of God and His plan for a Savior it has stirred in my heart a desire to live better. This has changed my life from one that included a lot of selfishness to a new one of knowledge and with it, service. I have felt a greater sense of accomplishment by doing the Lords work. God has made it possible for families to continue to live together after this life through Priesthood ordinances in holy temples. We learn in their walls more about who we are, where we came from, and where we are going. This has given me additional peace that motivates me to do His will even more. If you would like to know more about this or any other of the teachings of Christ, get in touch with the local Latter-Day Saint (LDS) missionaries. Thanks for allowing me share with you personal insights that can help you on your own spiritual and or knowledge quest. As you do you will gain insights never before experienced. I share this in His holy name, even Jesus Christ, amen.
