Hi I'm Lindsay Ryan

I'm pretty simple. I am Montana girl. I love the little things. I love Smores' and life. My joy comes from Him and I am a Mormon.

About Me

Maybe it's just me, but I always feel like writing about myself is weird. However, I guess if you could know anything about me, I would tell you this: I think dance parties are a necessary part of life. Late night waffle parties are the way to my heart. I love Disney princess, especially Tangled. I have a geeky obsession with Brittish literature. If I could spend every moment of my day outside, I would. I love the mountains and the sky. I love people! I believe connecting with each other makes us human. We each have a story to share, and I have something to learn from everyone I meet. Even though every story is different, if we look we will always be able to find Christ and his love. I believe that we are more powerful than we can even comprehend and that our only limiting factor in this life is our faith in Jesus Christ. I am not perfect and have not had a perfect life. I am so thankful for that. Everything I have gone through has helped me understand my Savior's sacrifice for me. I would not change that for the world. Having the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in my life has brought me peace, joy, purpose, and belonging. I guess if you could only know one thing about me, I would want you to know how deeply I love my Savior and I want everyone to know how deeply He loves you. Everyone, no matter what. We can change. We can find peace. We can have joy. You have a purpose in this life and this is all because of Jesus Christ. He has given us life and I am forever grateful.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know, and testify, that this is Christ's church on earth today. He leads and guides his church through a modern day prophet. I know this because I have prayed and God heard and answered my prayers. He wants us to know for ourselves and if we ask he will answer. He has also given us the scriptures so we can know his plan. As I read the Book of Mormon, God confirmed the validity of the scripture, as another testament of Jesus Christ. I am a Mormon because I am a follower of Christ. I love him and desire to live His gospel. I know that this is his church. It is the same church he established on the earth hundreds of years ago. His church that once was lost but has once again been restored. God loves us, the plan has not changed. That's why I do what I do. Having a complete understanding of who Christ is, what He has done and how I can follow him, has changed my life. I am a different person because of restored gospel of Jesus Christ. When I follow Him I have peace. A kind of peace that stays no matter what is going on in my life. He has healed me in ways I didn't even know I needed. He has given me a church where I can go each week and make promises with him and come closer to him. He has given me a sense of belonging and a true understand of who I am. Jesus Christ has given me a purpose. He has given me life. I am a Mormon because Jesus Christ saved us all and has given us a way to change and become like our Father in Heaven. He did that so we can experience true happiness in this life and in the next. I do what i because I do because I am overwhelmed with His love for me. The gosple of Jesus Christ has change me. It allowed me to repent, it allowed me to experience joy. It has made me everything I am.

How I live my faith

I show my faith in Jesus Christ by doing what seems to be the small and simple things. I pray throughout the day. As I communicate with Him, he listens and teaches me. I daily read the teachings of the prophets in the scriptures. The scriptures teach His gospel, or his plan for his children, his plan for me. I show faith by listening and acting the promptings of the Holy Spirit. I trust the feelings and experiences I have and try my best to act according to them. As for myself, showing faith in Jesus Christ and his atonement is allowing his love to change me. It's acting on the feelings I experience and allowing them to change my heart as I desire to follow Him. My faith has personally led me to serve as a missionary. I have visited my neighbors. I have shared my witness of Jesus Christ with others. I live my faith by trying my best to be the person He needs me to be and by doing his will as he leads my life.
