Hi I'm Maria Camacho

I grew up half of my life in Mexico, and the other half in the United States. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports. i am a soccer player, graduating high school. i love spending time writing in my journal.i love taking pictures. i love reading the Book of Mormon and other religious books. i love service, i try to help whenever i am needed. i like making new friendships all the time. i am super outgoing and can be anyone's friend.

Why I am a Mormon

when i first heard about the church i was in the fifth grade. i lived in a small town in Washington, where there was only one big stake center where everyone met there. the missionaries came to our home. my parents were never home. they were always working. we were always home alone. me and four other siblings attended church alone. my first time at church i didn't like. it was conference, i grew up catholic, but never really was active in that church, to me it was scary (not to offend anyone). i will never forget the lady that came to pick us up for church every Sunday. we moved to California and we lost contact with the elders. four years passed and they found us again, they never asked us to be baptized, but suddenly the new sisters did. i was never really interested because i had bad friends, fought at school and was in the wrong direction. i wasn't baptized when my mother was but after i saw that she stopped smoking and drinking i decided to be baptized and be happy like her. my life changed on my baptism day i took off my piercings i had in my lips and changed the way i was. i stopped swearing and chose new friends from church. it was hard at first because i was young with bad influences at school. with prayer and gods help i changed for the good. now i am a Mormon and i am happier than ever. i have a brother on a mission and the work is going on with the rest of my mothers and fathers families. i love this church, its everything to me.

How I live my faith

i attend church every sunday and partake of the sacrament every week to renew my baptismal covenants, i attend all the activities the church offers and keep strong.

How can I know Mormonism is true?

Maria Camacho
How i found out if the church was really true, i knelt down in prayer. i know that god loves us and he wants us to know and wants us to recognize the truth, when i prayed for guidance my prayer was answered. i had a dream and knew with no doubt that it was true. i listened to my heart and had faith in him.
