Hi I'm Amber Dixon

I had cancer at age 2, and I am a Leukemia survivor. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the oldest out of 6 kids, I have 2 brothers and 3 sisters. I am 15 years old and I love to dance. At the age of 2 I was diagnosed with ALL Leukemia, but after many priesthood blessings and prayers to my Heavenly Father, I was cured at age 5. My main goals are to finish my Personal Progress, marry in God's temple, and go to college.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a member all my life, but as I got older I started to fall away. It was at Girl's Camp that I prayed for guidance and felt the love of my Heavenly Father. I know that I'm a daughter of God and I need to act like one "at all times, and in all things, and in all places." I know the Book of Mormon is another testament of Christ and that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God. I can testify that Thomas S. Monson is a living prophet and he is a messanger of Heavenly Father. The standards of the Church may seem overwhelming but they are put in place for our own good so that we may have joy, and be able to worthily go in his Temple.

How I live my faith

I am an example everyday by taking on the name of Christ and living the standards of the church. Every Sunday I take the Sacrament to renew my Baptismal Covenants. I am working towards finishing Personal Progress, which is a program for young women to help them learn to be who God wants them to be.
