Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student studying Social Science Teaching, and love history, political science, economics, geography, and psychology. I am also a stalwart romantic, but only in the 18th century, glorifying nature kind of way. I'm the child of a hippie and a small town hick. I love the outdoors, music, and learning. I also am a black belt in Karate, and have been teaching martial arts for 2 years. I'm only slightly quirky, obnoxiously opionionated, frighteningly passionate, and a not-so-secret nerd. My motto? Life is Good, so Come What May, and Do It Or Die.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this faith is true. I have been to a place in my life where I didn't even believe in God, but through Jesus Christ and His love, I have found my way back. I'm a Mormon because this faith gives me hope; hope for myself, and hope for an increasingly broken world. I know that the only way I, we, all of us, can be healed is through Jesus Christ, and his Atonement.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through loving life! I try to remind people of how great God truly is through the choice I make to be happy everyday. This Gospel truly is the greatest joy that can be found. The peace that I have in my life is all a result of living the teachings of Jesus Christ day to day. That comes from serving anyone and everyone, being grateful, and just plain being joyful!
