Hi I'm David

I'm a Mormon. I joined the church in July, 1974.

About Me

I am a substitute teacher. I have a Masters degree in Engineering and am thinking of going back to school. I enjoy movies and dvd's. My favorite stories are those that are true. I enjoy playing chess and scrabble as well.

Why I am a Mormon

Let me share with you my conversion story. My mother worked for an LDS employer. President Kimbal came to town to give a talk on the Plan of Salvation. Mom's boss took her to this event. Mom invited the missionaries to present lessons about the Gospel. The rest is history. I have a powerful testimony regarding prayer. Let me share an experience I had. A group of young men along with some leaders had an overnight outing in the mountains. In the morning I wanted to climb on the other side of a ridge. Nobody wanted to go with me so I went alone. After a while I got bored and wanted to get back. I had gotten lost to some degree. I knew I had gone up and to the right. So I wanted to go down and to the left to get back. I found a point on the trail where it "appeared" to go down and to the left. But I found out that it only went DOWN (about 350 feet)! I was on a ledge with a straight drop. I was scared to the point that I was trembling. I resorted to prayer being that nobody was with me. It was between God and me. At the end of the prayer, all of the fear was gone. Then I was told exactly what to do to get out from the situation. I know that God loves me along with everybody else in the world.

How I live my faith

I am the Branch Missionary Leader where I live. I enjoy sharing the Gospel with people investigating the Church.
