Hi I'm Troy

I am a convert of the church. I got baptized when I was 20 years old. I am married with 3 wonderful children. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up In Phoenix Arizona. I have been married for 20 years now. I have 3 wonderful children 1 boy and 2 girls. I am a registered Nurse and work as a director of nurses at a short term rehabilitation center. I love helping the elderly feel better and watch them go home. I love the outdoors. My most favorite thing to do in the outdoors is go fly fishing. There is nothing better than sitting on a lake in my tube and know that my father in heaven created this for me.

Why I am a Mormon

My best friend was a Mormon. Our whole life growing up we never talked about church, until he turned nineteen and was preparing to go on a mission. This is when he got excited and started to express his excitement to me about the church. Soon after I met one of the most beautiful girls, and we started to date shortly after. As it got closer to the day that my friend was to leave on his mission, He decided to take me to the Mesa Arizona temple. While at the temple we went through the visitor center and watched a couple of videos. This is where I learned about a young fourteen year old boy named Joseph Smith. I had never felt the spirit before until that night. As we were leaving we drove past the temple and at the same time my friend and I said I feel good inside. It was that night I knew I had to learn more about the church. Shortly after, my friend left on his mission. We set up discussions at my friends house and my girlfriend attended everyone. During this time my girlfriend and I got married, and soon after I got baptized. One year later we got sealed for time and all eternity in the Mesa Arizona temple. The one thing I love about the church is the organization. What we read and learn each Sunday we implement in our daily lives. I know that this is the true church. We have a living prophet on the earth today to lead and guide us. I know that Joseph Smith restored the gospel so I can have the instructions that I need to return to live with my Heavenly father.

How I live my faith

I was just recently called as Elders quorum president. This was a big change in my life from what I have been doing. For the last 10 years or so I have been working with the youth. This was a big adjustment from young men to elders. I have had to learn a lot since I was called as elders Quorum president. To be honest I had no idea how it was to run, but with a great presidency I do believe we are getting the job done. I love getting out each week and visiting the members of the quorum.
