Hi I'm Darla

I grew up in Idaho. I now live in a small town in New Mexico, I work at the school. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like doing all kinds of crafts like, wood woking, painting, sewing and many other things. I love being a grandma and hanging out with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I see how wicked the world is getting and without Christ in my life, I dont know where I would be or what I would be doing. Through the church, I learend values and was able to share these values with my children like love everyone, forgive others, serve one another, to be honest and true, to live like Jesus would. I have tought my children how to pray and that Heavenly hears and answers our prayers. I know by paying tithing that you do receive blessings. In one particular example, I had been a substitute teacher at the school and my husband was making very little money, we needed to pay our tithing and bills, but couldn't do both. I thought about only paying half of the tithing but I new I wouldn't get caught up if I did this. As I was crying, I filled out my tithing slip and placed it and the money in the envelope. Right then, the phone rang. It was a secretary from the school offering me a full time position. I knew that Heavely Father had blessed me. After I was off the phone, I kneeled down and thanked my Heavenly father. Thankfully, I will be starting my sixth year with the school this year. I know that if my children, their families, and I follow the teachings of Christ, we will be together forever in our Heavenly Father's Kingdom.

How I live my faith

I live my fath by attending my meetings, renewing my baptismal covenants each week, fulflling my calling that I have to teach the youth, paying my tithing, studying the scriptures, praying to our Heavenly Father for guidence and help, and trying to live as Jesus did. It's not always easy to do it, but I know it is worth it.
