Hi I'm Trevor Snowden

I love music, I am a family man, I love my opportunity to serve as a representative of Jesus Christ, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I was born on March 17, I am 21 and raised in the great valley of Las Vegas, and grew up in a family of a 6. Being the second youngest is the greatest blessing in the world (and is usually the best child). Growing up in a singing environment has given me the constant need to sing, I love singing, I love harmonizing with the people around me even though I may be annoying at some times. I feel the most joy when I sing, and I know that singing for me brings me closer to the Savior cause I can express my feelings and testimony best through a song. I have always been involved with singing productions and choirs in school, as well as being involved with band as a percussionist. I am grateful for the friends that I have made over the past 19 years of my life as well on my mission. On May 26th 2012, I reported to the MTC to train to serve a Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for two years. I can't express enough how grateful I am for the testimony that I have gained over these past two years. When I return home I plan to go to school and to explore the playing field of Aeronautical Engineer, and if possible later down the line get a degree in music and compose music. I enjoy the time that is spent with my friends and family, I love everyone in my life that has been beside me as I have developed into that man that I desire to be. I am grateful for the those role models that I've had in my life, and I am grateful for this church and the faith that I have.

Why I am a Mormon

Like many others, I was born into the church. Attending church meetings and trying to be that good Mormon boy. When given counsel I never really had any argument about it, I simple did as I was told by my parents. When I was a freshmen in high school my mother asked me if i was going to serve a mission, I looked at her a little confused having the consumption that I didn't have an option in the matter. Since I was little I've always had the mind set of serving a mission. So serving a mission was never a hard decision for me. When I was set apart and called to serve a mission in the Orlando Florida Mission I had what you may call an Alma 5 experience. I had lost my crutches that my parents had given me, and I was left to stand on my own. Living and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ was like steroids to me, Within a couple months I had gained more knowledge about the Gospel of Jesus Christ than I ever had in my entire life. I know that Jesus Christ lives. I have seen for myself the power of the priesthood. I have substantial evidence that this gospel is true, and three quarters of that evidence is unseen. When I was a little kid I had a spiritual experience that since this day has never shaken my belief that God answers prayers. I know that this gospel is essential to bring true joy to our life, I have seen it in my life and many others that I've helped along the way. I know that Jesus is the Christ, and its faith in him that helps us return to our Heavenly Father.

How I live my faith

I live my Faith because I know this is the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I am grateful for this Gospel, It has effected how I think, how I act, and really who I am in my life. I live my faith by being on mission away from my family and normal life proclaiming the Gospel to people who need it in theirs. I live my faith by those everyday actions. I live my faith by acting upon those standards that define a Mormon. I love this Gospel and by Sharing it to others I have gained a better appreciation for it. My faith is in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Savior and Redeemer of the World. I may make mistakes in the future but the Gospel of Jesus Christ isn't about falling but about how you get up, and I am striving everyday to become a Disciple of Jesus Christ.
