Hi I'm Luke Walk

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a student studying Chinese and medicine. My dream is to China and all over the world, helping to heal people both physically and spiritually. I lead a very active life-style as college student. I love being in the outdoors and enjoying this beautiful world, when I'm not completely swamped by homework and classes. Sometimes when life gets to be a bit too much I love just to leave and find some quite place out in the woods to relax and just ponder.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because its what I know to be true. I grew up in a home with a mother who was a member of the church but not active and a father who was Lutheran. They taught from an early age that at one point or another I was going to have to choose for myself. When I was in school as a child missionaries began to visit my father which eventually lead him to his own decision to be baptized into what he feels is the Lords true church. I hung on to his and my mothers spiritual coat tails as long as I could till I fell off somewhere down the line. I spent years trying to get my feet underneath me but never could quite get a hold on life. I reached a low point in my life where I knew I had to choose for myself what path I wanted to follow. Thankfully the Lord reached out to me and I was able to overcome through His gospel. That perfect precisions path of redemption that we call the gospel was taught to me in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Dat Saints (Mormon). It was only through that path that He had set up that I was able to draw close to Him. Even though today I still make mistakes and fall down, I know that as long as I follow the example of Jesus Christ and His gospel I will eventually reach all my goals and return safely home to our Heavenly Father and His own arms.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by going to church, attending activities that my local ward (church group) has each week. Most of the people in my ward are young and active so there is always something fun to do without having to compromise my morals or values. I served two years as a missionary in the beautiful country of New Zealand where I manly worked with the Chinese people that couldn't speak english. Today I continue to teach others around me at church and though out each month. I've also recently been asked to be part of a group in my church that organizes events like dances and other fun activities.
