Hi I'm Luke

I grew up in San Diego, California. I am a recent college graduate and husband. I like to think I draw really well. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I like to draw. I like to make music. I enjoy reading a good book and also playing video games--when I have time. I enjoy exercise and also playing a game of basketball with friends. I am a new husband who loves his wife. I recently graduated from college and am working full time. When I'm not at work I am usually relaxing on the couch or creating songs with my wife.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints because having a full understanding of God and my purpose on Earth has greatly enhanced my life. I believe the Book of Mormon to be the most correct book, as Joseph Smith said, and I know that the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ is on the Earth again. I know that each day, when I try to be more like our Savior, I will work closer to fulfilling my life's purpose in becoming the kind of person my Heavenly Father wants me to be. Prayer and continued scripture study has brought peace into my life. Having a knowledge of basic things I can do to worship the Lord each day has strengthened my testimony in Jesus Christ. I know I can do anything when I am doing what is right. The teachings that I have learned from the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-day Saints have helped me to cope with stress and to avoid dangerous pitfalls. If I do something wrong, I know that Jesus Christ will be the first one there to help get me on my feet again. Growing up in the church has helped me to understand the blessings it can bring by being faithful and true to what I believe in. I can love everyone and still hold true to what I believe in. And still love everyone. The gospel of Jesus Christ sheds new light into my life every time I make an effort to learn more about it, and this increase in knowledge helps me in every instance. Having the gift of the Holy Ghost has been a blessing in my life. Being a baptized member and receiving guidance from the Spirit helps me in school, work, life, etc. I cannot being to explain the miraculous things the Holy Ghost has done for my life and for the life of others around me. Looking up a scripture for myself or for another at the right time. Checking a second time at work to make sure there was no mistake and finding one. The still small voice and direction of the Holy Ghost is something that is truly amazing that is available to anyone who wants to follow Christ.

How I live my faith

I love going to church and mingling with those that share the same beliefs that I do. I like to think that I am a loving, charitable person. I try my best to share my talents when they are needed. Although I am involved in helping my church leaders in the spiritual and temporal needs of the congregation, I am also involved with musical numbers from time to time. By living the gospel, I can share my testimony when I visit other members, I can express my faith to church members and friends, and I can try to be an example for those around me. But the best way I have ever expressed my belief is through my music. When I perform, I feel my Savior's love for me and those around me. I feel very good for myself and for the gift that God has given me after every performance. Living the gospel is not hard to do. Its not always easy, but having the strength of the Lord is enough to get through the day. I know who I am and what I need to do to prepare my life so that it is in harmony with Heavenly Father's plan for me. I love my family and friends. I love getting to know people and what their life stories are. Communication is the best possible way to live--both with those around us and with God.
