Hi I'm Lene Lewis

I grew up in Denmark but came to the US when I was 20. I love life and the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am blessed to be the mother of four daughters and I have nine wonderful grandchildren. There is no greater joy than seeing your children happy and content. One of our daughters passed away several years ago. We miss her and talk about her daily, but we treasure the sweet assurance of eternal families. I love digging in the dirt. Pulling weeds, planting flowers or just mowing the lawn is to me very therapeutic and peaceful. I find joy in just sitting and enjoying the beauty of the yard after working hard. I believe that if we want to be happy we have to work hard every day and put a smile on our face.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I was only fifteen years old. The missionaries knocked on the door to our little apartment in a small town in Denmark where I lived at the time. When I heard the story of Joseph Smith praying in the Sacred Grove and his first vision, my heart was touched. As my mother and I continued to learn about the restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and as I prayed about the things I learned, I knew in my heart and also in my head that it was true. It all made sense to me and it was as if I recognized something I had known before. Truth will always ring true in our heart and mind, if we are honestly seeking it.

How I live my faith

I feel that only by serving others can one find complete joy and peace. I am thankful for the many opportunities I have had, and still have, to serve others.
