Hi I'm Jack Lee Morris

I'm a Mormon Convert. I met my wife before I was a member. She in a sense was my Missionary.

About Me

I am a convert. I am a father of 5 children, 2 from a previous marriage. I love golf and I sell cars for a living. I also deliver papers early in the morning. I love NASCAR (Jeff Burton). I have been married now for coming up on 8 years. My wife is Sarah, I have a daughter in college in Florida , a son in college in South Carolina , a 6 year old ready to graduate Kindergarten , a 4 year old who is Autistic - Asbergers , and a 2 year old .

Why I am a Mormon

8 years ago I met my Wife. I went to a friends house to cheer that person up. I knocked on the door and my wife answered it. I said "Hello Darlin" and her jaw dropped. I had never elicited this response from anyone before. We started talking that night and she saw that I was sending flowers to the friend I was trying to cheer up and said no one ever sent her flowers before. I asked where she worked and the next day a dozen pink roses, a stuffed teddy bear, and balloons with chocolate were delivered to her desk. She called me and said thank you and then I had her digits ;). I waited a day and then called her and asked her on a date. We would go on dates to Walmart, she never pushed the gospel on me. I would go to dinners at her grandparent and parent when the missionaries were there and no one pushed the gospel on me.One day we were driving past the Temple in DC and I asked her about it, that is when I found out about the recommend. We stopped by there and walked the grounds and went to the visitors center. I learned a lot that day. I challenged Sarah, I told her if she could get me into a temple, I would join her church. 3 weeks later there was an open house in Manhattan, we went and it was a life changing event. I never felt closer to my heavenly father as I did while I was in the celestial room. I bowed my head and had a person conversation with my heavenly father. I asked him to take this girl out of my life if this was not true what I was learning. Two weeks later my wife was visiting me in dc when she called the missionaries. They showed up two days later. They asked me what I expected from the church, I responded "I want to get baptized, marry my wife, and get sealed in the Temple." the rest is history. I cannot tell you how much the gospel has done for my life. My family is truely blessed because of the gospel. We have good friends, and we have a great Family. My wifes family is all here in Pa.

How I live my faith

I go to church every Sunday. My wife teaches the nursery age children at church. I have a job in the church that is so cool. I get to travel around to all the meeting houses through out our region. I check to see if the houses are clean and tidy and if there are any equipment or furnishing issues. I think it is one of the best jobs there is. I have families that I visit every month to see if they need anything. My wife also visits with families for the same reason but also just to comfort some of the women. I pass my teaching on to my family. We read the Scriptures regularly and on Monday nights when I am not working we participate in family game or movie night. I am truly grateful for the opportunities and the trials that my heavenly father has put in front of me. I am grateful for the service of my leaders and for the opportunity I have to serve my heavenly father.
