Hi I'm Steven

I grew up in Washington. I am currently in medical school. I play the steel drums. I love baseball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently in medical school with plans to one day become an ophthalmologist. My wife and I had our first child six months ago, so we have both been adjusting to less sleep. I love baseball and avidly follow the Seattle Mariners even though I live in New England and my wife and all her family are die hard Red Sox fans. At least she doesn't like the Yankees... I look forward to one day coaching my son's little league baseball teams. I served an LDS mission in Jamaica and loved my time there. My wife and I love to travel and continue to do so despite our ever growing medical school debt.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon has blessed my life in many ways. It has helped me be a better medical student, son, friend, husband, and father. It is a large part of who I am. It affects how I balance my time. Most of all, I am a Mormon because I feel like God has answered my prayers.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to follow my Savior's example. Although I have a busy schedule, I feel it is important to serve my local community and church congregation. I have volunteered my time at a free community outreach health clinic. Currently, I assist the Bishop in the recording of church ordinances such as baptisms and priesthood ordinations. I also keep the ward budget and an account of the local members' donations.
