Hi I'm Kendra

I like moving around and meeting new people. I'm from a small town in eastern Washington. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I think my most valuable skill is that I can play soccer. No matter where I go, I can connect with people just because we can both kick a ball around. Think of it. Some people are playing a game and you have automatic friends. The best part? Talent is a gift from God prayerfully sought for and developed and you can share that testimony with the simple pass of a ball. Now I'm on a mission in Romania, sharing the gospel everyday, and always looking for the opportunity to have a few kicks with someone else. I may be just a normal person, but I know God cares about my desires and will help me to improve everyday. Soccer is one of those testimonies to me that he is truly mindful of us.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints does not mean I follow blindly. I never went to church because I was told too; I was and always will be a willful individual. As a child I knew what I was being taught was true every time I read the scriptures or heard the Prophet and Apostles speak and the love of Christ would envelope me. That doesn't mean I was a perfect child nor without trial. I never strayed too far that I couldn't feel Christ's love and influences beckoning me to return. The older I became, the more I strove to strengthen my testimony. I looked at speakers in conference and church and those around me who seemed unshakable and had testimonies burning as bonfires; it is those people who inspired me, and I wanted that. So I searched and strove to understand all I could. Everyday I grew closer and closer to Christ, changing into a better person because of it. I'm not done, and I never will be, but I will always continue to improve upon what is already here. I know that Christ came and established a Church, and that Joseph Smith restored that same institution and the priesthood power and authority needed. Through President Thomas S. Monson that authority and power leads our church today. The Book of Mormon is a translation of ancient records telling of Christ's visit to the American peoples by Joseph Smith. Thanks to this restoration, I know that through the atonement of Jesus Christ I can change and nothing is impossible.

How I live my faith

The thing I love most in the world is my Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ. I am so happy to be on a mission and doing what I know Heavenly Father wants me to do. For 18 months, I get to share this happiness and message of glad tidings with the people of Romania. Christ lives! and our Father in Heaven has a plan for each one of us. As we seek to come closer to Christ, he will help us with our trials in this life and prepare us a place in His Father's house. We are so lucky to have the restored gospel on the earth today, and a prophet of the Lord, Thomas S. Monson, who recieves revelation for the world. If we follow his guidance we will be blessed for heeding the word of Heavenly Father.
