Hi I'm Patrick Linville

I'm LDS

About Me

My name is Patrick Linville. I am a Community Service Advisor for a Private Residential Island on Charleston South Carolina Coast. I am an Eagle Scout I am 34 years old. I grew up in Moncks Corner South Carolina and The things like I do for fun. Its to hang out with friends and family. Going to Church and to Church activities. I like to help people in need and I love to travel and listening to music and explore new places by driving around with no special place to go. I have CAPD which means Central Auditory Processing Disorder which is that my Central Nervous System in my Brain doesn't communicate properly between my ears to my brain to understand and process things correctly.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was born my family went to the First Christian Church then at the age of 12 then my family wanted to go back to the United Methodist Church on where my Mom was raised at because her Dad was a United Methodist Minister until he died and I was searching for the truth when I was a Teenager and When I was 15 years old I was in Boy Scouts I did change Boy Scouts Troops to the one at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. At Boy Scouts I did asked a lot of questions about the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints beliefs. They told me about the beliefs and I prayed about it and my Heavenly Father told me it is true. At the time I started to love talking about the Jesus Christ Gospel and the Plan of Salvation. I did love going to hanging out with other LDS people and talking with them. I wanted to join the church when I was 15 years old but my parents didn't let me because they feel that the church teachings contradicts on what the Bible teaches. I have been to and gone to a lot of different denominations churches wondering on what the Truth was. In 2000 I started taking the Missionaries Discussions and they taught me the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and his commadments. I read the Book of Mormon and prayed about it and the Holy Spirit did testified to me That the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on this face of the earth. That Jesus Christ restored his priesthood which is the authority to act in the name of Jesus Christ, his Gospel, and his church called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints back to this earth through the Jospeh Smith. I wanted to get baptized and on August 5 2000 I went to the church to get baptized. The Baptimal Font was clog and filled up with dirty water. Satan was trying to prevent me from getting baptized. We found a place to get baptized and I got baptized in the pool and Heavenly Father have blessed me to get baptized in a Beautiful place

How I live my faith

August 5 2000 I got baptized and August 6, 2000 I got confirmed into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I go to church every single Sunday and going to church activities. I love hanging out with the Missionaries and hanging with other LDS Members and I love telling people how the Gospel of Jesus Christ have change my life. The Book of Mormon taught me that this earth life is a Probational Period to meet God. If we don't keep the commandments of our Heavenly Father then this earth life will be a waste. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints really taught me to be happy by keeping his commandents because it will help us to eternal progress by thinking and doing things that will help us Eternal Progress throughout eternity instead of focus on Temporal Things. Keeping his commadments will help us to keep our Free Agency because it will save us from different kinds of addictions that will take away our Free Agency in a lot of different ways. It does help us with our Eternal Goals and by focusing on what we need to do to return back to live with our Heavenly Father. It also taught me to stay on the Straight and Narrow Path by keeping the commadments of our Heavenly Father like readings the scriptures every day, praying every day, going to church every week, and partipate in different kinds of church activities and its program and hang out with other LDS people to help us to stay focus to stay on the Straight and Narrow Path and that we should avoid all kinds of tempations and don't get close to our temptations and it will help us to prevent us from breaking the commadments our Heavenly Father. I live Life to the Fullest by Keeping the Commandments our Heavenly Father by Eternal Progress through life. I truly believe that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on this earth and very thankful that I am a member of this church.

What do Mormons believe about "eternal life?"

Patrick Linville
Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins and that it is through the Atonement of Jesus Christ that will saved us from Physical Death and everybody will be resurected again with a new perfect body. To be saved from Spiritual Death we must accept the Atonement of Jesus Christ in our Lives by Having Faith in Jesus Christ and by Repenting of our Sins and being Baptized by the Proper Priesthood Authority and enduring to the end by keeping the Commandents of God that will help us Eternal Progress throughout Eternity Show more Show less
