Hi I'm Mike

I'm a Mormon who grew up in Phillips, ME, and still lives there with his eternal companion, Patsy.

About Me

I have been employed in education for almost forty years. I have been a sixth through eighth grade teacher, a K-8 school counselor, a K-8 principal, and am currently employed as a high school counselor. We have been married for forty-two wonderful years and have three children, two boys and a daughter. There have been other church families that we have " adopted" as our own children and grand children.

Why I am a Mormon

We first met the missionaries as I was washing the car in our driveway one day. These young men in their suits offered to help. I told them no thanks. They weren't dressed for it. They visited for a few minutes and walked down a road behind our home, stopping to throw a few rocks. I thought to myself that they were typical young men. They cam back later in the week as they said they would. We met with them for the lessons and felt the Spirit so much. These elders liked to eat and my wife liked to cook so we fed them many meals, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and a midnight snack. ( If the Church wasn't true the missionaries would have destroyed it long ago. I love the Church and all t does for families. I know the Savior lived and atoned for my transgressions. He was resurrected so I can live with my family eternally. We have a living prophet here upon the earth at this time to give guidance. I love the Lord and all with which he has blessed me. I am thrilled to be in His service.

How I live my faith

It is widely known that I am a member of this Church at my place of employment and throughout the area. Service projects are a joy to participate in as we serve our fellow beings. I have five families that I visit regularly to check on their spiritual and temporal needs and to deliver a message of inspiration. I am the leader of the group of men who have much experience in the church. We meet together for our lesson during the third block of our Sunday meetings to study the teachings of our prophets and leaders. It also a time to report on our ministering and service.
