Hi I'm Chris

I grew up in Florida and Utah. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am interested in soccer. It has been my favorite sport. I played soccer ever since I was six and still play it for recreation. One of my big hobbies is that I scuba dive. I have been scuba diving in Hawaii, Australia, and Belize. I also have been playing piano now for 13 years and now only play for my own pleasure, mainly playing movie scores. I am currently enrolled in college and have just finished my freshman year with 83 credits granting me junior status due to my AP credit I entered college with. I am taking a leave of absence now that I will be serving a mission. I am serving in the Taiwan Taichung mission speaking mandarin Chinese and leave May 23, 2012.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been born into the LDS church. My grandparents from both sides of my family have and are members and both my parents are members. So I have grown up being a Mormon, but I have personally come to know that this church is true and preaches Christ's gospel. His gospel inspires me to become a better person and ignites a passion within me to act, progress, and strive towards eternal life.

How I live my faith

Prior to moving away to college and attending a young single adults ward, I would home teach with my dad in my home ward. We taught two families. We would visit with them once a month and would teach them a lesson that we would previously prepare. We would also check on our assigned families making sure they were doing okay and see if there was anything we could do to help. Now I am currently being set apart as a missionary elder to serve my mission in Taiwan. I will be for the next two years a servant of the Lord, preaching His gospel and sharing with others the joy and light in my life.
