Hi I'm Adam

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Husband and a father of 4 fantastic children. I currently work as a Marketing and Communications Manager for a company here in town. I like being creative and am always looking for new ideas and new ways to communicate messages. I have a lot of ideas, some of them great, but most of them aren't. It doesn't really bother me though. I feel as though it's just part of the process.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My parents were both converts and met at a church function. They did a great job of staying active and keeping our family involved in church the whole time I was growing up. Even though I had been going to church all of my life, I didn't really gain my own testimony until much later in life. It was really easy for me to "live on my parent's testimony". When I was 19 I went on a mission. This was the first time that I had really lived anywhere else other than home. This was also the time in which I found that I could not continue to "live on my parent's Testimony. I had to find my own. Don't get me wrong, I had a pretty good idea it was true, I just never really found out for myself. I figured it was time that I do so. Admittedly, this is probably the best time for me to find out. Life as a missionary consists of doing a few things, Eat, Study the Gospel, teach others about the gospel, talk to the gospel, eat some more, teach more gospel, eat and then get a few hours of sleep. During one of my study sessions, I found a quiet place in my appartment, and I re-read the Joseph Smith Story. I figured that because this is was the time in his life in which he found his testimony, that it would be inspiring to me, and the search for my own testimony. After reading those passages, I knelt down in prayer, and I talked to my Heavenly Father like he was there next to me and I asked him to help my know if the things that I had learned all throughout my life were true. I also asked to know if what I was doing was what He'd have me do (in reference to me being on a mission). I also asked him one other question that may seem a little different, but I needed to know. I asked if I was doing all of this church stuff for no reason. And my answer came in a simple feeling. It was the feeling that you get when your earthly father is proud of you. A feeling of approval. A feeling so real, I cannot deny that I felt it.

How I live my faith

I am bringing up my family, much like my parents did. We don't ever really miss a Sunday at Church. My calling is the Stake Technology Specialist which means that I am in charge of taking care of everything technical inside of the church building, from internet access to sound. It is the perfect calling for me. I love to see how the church has embraced technology and has many people developing some great resources for us all. I look forward to what the future holds. I know it is only going to get better.
