Hi I'm Blythe

I'm a dreamer, a reader, an artist, and a writer. I love my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First and foremost, I love spending time with my family. They're my best friends! I also love to write stories and participate in theater (on stage and backstage), so imagination is another big part of my life. I spent a lot of my childhood in Georgia, where I learned how to use my imagination playing in my grandparents' huge, forested backyard. I love pondering on God's beautiful creations and how they all work in harmony. Rainy days are my favorite, and I love the Primary song "When I Am Baptized," because it talks about the beauty and symbolism of the earth being washed clean by rain. Learning is another thing I love to do, and I am currently working toward earning my bachelors degree. My name means "happy," and I try to live up to that by being optimistic and counting my blessings (I still haven't been able to count all of them, there are way too many!). I am a great believer in the power of positive thinking, and one of my favorite quotations is from Thomas S Monson. "Be of good cheer. The future is as bright as your faith."

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I've had a belief and testimony since I was young, but have never been more thankful for it than I am now. I went through some health problems as a teenager that changed what I thought my life was going to be. My only anchor was my little flame of faith. I prayed and prayed for help and healing, and discovered that God has a plan for me, even if it's different than what I thought it would be. It's in His hands and He knows what He's doing! I choose to follow Christ because only in Christ can I find the peace, healing, and joy that my soul longs for. I'm a Mormon because I love Christ and want to come closer to Him.

How I live my faith

I love being a part of the LDS church. I enjoy attending services on Sundays, and I especially love when on the first Sunday of every month people share personal experiences and testimonies of Jesus Christ. My favorite experience with living my faith thus far has been getting to serve a full time proselyting mission in Georgia, USA, where I shared my testimony of Jesus Christ and invited others to come closer to Him.

What do Mormons believe about Jesus Christ? Do Mormons believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God?

Yes! We believe in Jesus Christ, and we believe that He is the Son of God. We believe he lived on the Earth and set a perfect example for us to follow. We believe that through his Atonement--his suffering in Gethsemane and his death on the cross--we are saved from our sins as we repent and follow Him. Show more Show less
