Hi I'm Sarah

I love playing tennis and reading. I have 5 children and a wonderful husband. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love finding a good bargain and find joy in the everyday activities of life. I enjoy teaching my children the piano and walking with them home from school, it is a great time to hear about their day and to get some exercise after sitting in class for much of the day. I struggle with the responsibilities of raising a relatively large family away from the help of my parents or siblings, but have found strength in the examples and service of my friends. I also find much joy in my children as we experience all the wonders of life together.

Why I am a Mormon

I love being a Mormon! I feel good when I listen to the gospel and strive to follow Heavenly Father's plan for me. I find joy in the scriptures and the words of living prophets today and often feel peace as I study their words. The gospel gives me direction and hope in a sometimes scary world. I feel blessed to be able to share the peace that comes from following Jesus Christ with my children and neighbors. I feel that anyone no matter how happy they currently are, can find even more happiness by learning and living the gospel of Jesus Christ. I feel loved and like I am part of an extended family when I attend church meetings and activities and have found good people and children as friends and examples for my children. I feel that my life has a purpose and that I, as a child of God, can do much good in the world. I enjoy the fact that I am able to serve others and make my weaknesses become strengths as I fulfill assignments at church.

How I live my faith

In my ward at church, I have the opportunity to work with the children. They range from 18 months- 12 years old. I get to sing with them each Sunday and help them learn new songs about Jesus and about our beautiful world and about families. I love their excitement and enthusiasm, it is contagious! It gives me hope in our future leaders as I see their goodness and innocence. I am not a very good singer, but the kids don't seem to notice and it binds me to those kids who feel like they can't sing because I think that all of the time about myself. We have the opportunity to sing before the entire congregation several times throughout the year and there is always a very special spirit felt when they sing. I feel very privledged to be in this position and I am growing and learning each week.
